Square Enix Releasing Final Fantasy Orchestral Album

23 Final Fantasy favorite songs are being recorded in an orchestral album to be released on Blu-ray and vinyl in December in Japan. .mp3s are included on the Blu-ray so that you can download it to a mobile device and take it with you. Music from Final Fantasy VIII, Final Fantasy IV, and Final Fantasy VI have been confirmed so far.

Unfortunately, the original singer for Eyes On Me (Faye Wong) is unavailable for the project, but J-Pop singer Crystal Kay will be filling her place.

The Blu-ray alone will cost you $63 and the Blu-ray/record set will be $94.

VINYL!?!?!?

I WANT IT.

I saw this poster for sale at Fun Fun Fun Fest, and when I asked the guy selling the poster about how much nerdiness was on the poster, he was so happy since no one at the fest knew what it was. Clint (the artist) and I talked Final Fantasy for a good 15 minutes before I bought the damn thing. (In a way, I had to; it’s difficult to find nerds like those at music festivals! Plus, you can tell the guy really did his homework on the poster, so it made me love it more!)

So now, I am currently trying to get some hammers and nails to put this poster somewhere. It’s amazing what posters you find at these shows.

Still was bummed that no one made a poster for Run DMC, though…
